The purpose of this training is to reduce personal injuries and prevent fall hazards, as well as to give participants increased understanding and risk awareness. The training also covers the selection of safety equipment for different types of work performed at height. It is intended for anyone who directly or indirectly is responsible for, plans, installs\/handles, or works with fall protection in lifts. Suitable for supervisors and managers. <\/p>\n
The training provides participants with fundamental knowledge to help them choose the right type of fall\u2011protection equipment for the job. Work at height must be planned, organized, and carried out in a way that prevents fall accidents. This plan must be communicated to everyone who may be involved in the work at height. As an employer, you are also responsible for ensuring that staff have knowledge of the equipment <\/a>that will be used. If there is a risk of falling over an edge while using personal fall\u2011protection equipment, a rescue plan must be in place, and it must be known to those performing the work. Working alone<\/a> is not permitted. <\/p>\n As an employee or contracted worker, you are responsible for using the correct type of equipment, using it properly, and following the plan and instructions provided by the employer or contracting company.<\/p>\n The first choice should always be collective fall protection such as a lift, scaffolding, guardrails, or nets. If this cannot be arranged, personal fall\u2011protection equipment must be used.
