What does the law state?

According to the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s regulations AFS 1999:7 and AFS 2001:1, there must be preparedness and resources at the workplace to address sudden illnesses, acute injuries, and accidents. Managers and supervisory personnel must possess sufficient knowledge and also ensure that employees are aware of how first aid and crisis support are organized and what routines apply. Considering the nature, scope, and risks of the operation, a sufficient number of individuals with adequate first aid knowledge must be available at the workplace.
